A music critic once described Frank Townsell as having "a rare touch of brilliance". We at the College know that this did indeed describe him as a musician, but we also know that it described him as a very special teacher and as an esteemed and dear colleague. Donations in his memory may be made to the City College Performing Arts Center to help house Frank's collection of records, CDs, sheet music, books, and a piano given by the Townsell family and friends to the College for the continued education of music students.
